2-Axis Turning – The Core of Precision
Our 2-axis lathes are the foundation of cylindrical machining, performing simultaneous operations along the X and Z axes. This is the most efficient and cost-effective method for producing high volumes of parts with classic geometries like shafts, bushings, spacers, and simple fittings. This process guarantees excellent concentricity and is ideal for projects where simplicity and speed are key.
4-Axis Turning (Dual Spindle) – Maximum Efficiency
Our 4-axis turning centers feature a main and sub-spindle. The main spindle completes the first side of a part. The sub-spindle then automatically picks it up to machine the back side, all in one continuous cycle. This advanced technology is the ultimate solution for complex parts that require complete machining on all surfaces with absolute alignment. It’s designed for high-volume production of complex components like connectors and transmission parts with minimal human intervention.

In-Process Controls
- Bath Chemistry Control: This is the most critical step. We automatically monitor and adjust the plating solution parameters multiple times per day.
- Parameters Checked: pH levels, temperature, nickel concentration, and replenisher/additive levels.
- Hull Cell Tests: Small-scale plating tests are performed regularly to visually confirm the bath is producing a quality deposit.
Post-Plating Inspection & Testing
- Adhesion Test (Bend Test, Tape Test per ASTM B571): The coating is bent or cross-hatched and subjected to a tape pull to ensure it does not flake or peel from the substrate.
- Thickness Verification (X-Ray Fluorescence – XRF): An XRF gauge is used to provide a non-destructive, highly accurate measurement of coating thickness on the part, ensuring it meets the specified requirement.
- Visual Inspection: Check for cosmetic defects like blistering, pitting, staining, or uneven coverage under bright, controlled lighting.
- Salt Spray Testing (ASTM B117): Sample parts from the batch are placed in a salt spray chamber to accelerate corrosion and validate that the coating meets the specified hours to white or red rust.

- Certificates of Compliance: Each order ships with a certificate that records the key QC data, including lot number, thickness measurements, and salt spray results.
- Traceability: Batch records are maintained, linking finished parts back to the specific plating run and chemistry logs, providing full traceability for our clients.
