Pre-Treatment Inspection
● Process: Parts are visually inspected for surface defects like cracks, deep scratches, or contamination before plating.
● Proper cleaning is verified through a water break test, where a continuous film of water (and not beading) indicates a clean surface.

In-Process Controls
● Bath Chemistry Control: This is the most critical step. We automatically monitor and adjust the plating solution parameters multiple times per day.
● Parameters Checked: pH levels, temperature, nickel concentration, and replenisher/additive levels.
● Hull Cell Tests: Small-scale plating tests are performed regularly to visually confirm the bath is producing a quality deposit

Post-Plating Inspection
● Adhesion Test (Bend Test, Tape Test per ASTM B571): The coating is bent or cross-hatched and subjected to a tape pull to ensure it does not flake or peel from the substrate.

Testing
● Thickness Verification (X-Ray Fluorescence - XRF): An XRF gauge is used to provide a non-destructive, highly accurate measurement of coating thickness on the part, ensuring it meets the specified requirement.
● Salt Spray Testing (ASTM B117): Sample parts from the batch are placed in a salt spray chamber to accelerate corrosion and validate that the coating meets the specified hours to white or red rust.

● Certificates of Compliance: Each order ships with a certificate that records the key QC data, including lot number, thickness measurements, and salt spray results.
